ECB are delighted to announce a partnership with the world’s number one hygiene soap brand, Lifebuoy, ahead of the new season. As part of the agreement, Lifebuoy will become the ‘Official Hygiene Partner’ and ‘Official Community Cricket Hygiene Partner’ of England Cricket and ECB.
In partnership with Lifebuoy, all recreational cricket clubs across England & Wales will be able to apply to receive a free ‘ECB Hygiene Bundle’ pack as part of the drive to help cricket return safely. Further subsidised hygiene bundles have also been created, where ECB registered clubs can receive more than 60% off RRP.
Lifebuoy will also be providing All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket registered children with hand sanitiser bottles via their clubs. During the check out process, you will be asked to supply the number of registered children you have at your club. You will then receive this product at the same time as your original order.
To apply for your free ‘ECB Hygiene Bundle’, or to place additional orders ahead of the season, please use the link https://www.lifebuoy2u.co.uk/.

All Stars and Dynamos
We are approaching 40,000 participants booked onto our national programmes, with almost 30,000 All Stars and 10,000 Dynamos Cricketers signed-up. We wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your efforts to date. Remember that you can access the ECB resource hub to download all your All Stars and Dynamos assets, to help with your local promotion.
With regard to your activators, as a reminder this year, all activators should complete the national programmes elearning. New activators will complete an induction course, which will take place virtually/online, as well as a face to face training course. Existing activators should attend an online refresher course which will take place as a virtual webinar. You should attend these courses run by your local county board and all of these courses can be accessed via your activator checklist on your clubspark account.

ID Verification
To help support the return of club cricket, we have made the decision to offer the opportunity for face- to- face verifications from April 12th, 2021. Face-to-face verification can take place, as long as the verifier and those requiring their ID to be verified observe all Government guidelines. Above all, you must be able to operate consistently within guidance regarding health, social distancing, and hygiene.
Please remember that it is a verifier’s choice as to whether they feel comfortable to carry out face-to-face ID checks. They should not feel pressure to do so by anyone. If a verifier does not feel that they can carry out the face-to-face verification, then they should contact their County Cricket Board/First Class County.
Do not carry out the ID document verification in someone else’s home or invite anyone into your home to do so. All ID verifications to take place in an outdoor setting. Please consider the options that would work safely for you and those individuals whose documents you are seeking to verify.
Before Verification Considerations
Access the Atlantic Data system and initiate the check for the applicant.
Whilst setting up the verification meeting ensure the participant has completed the relevant information as required.
Remind the person/people attending of the documents they need to bring. This will reduce the need for a second contact.
ID verification for under-18s must be done with a parent/carer or other trusted adult present, who also follow respective Government guidelines.
Remind applicants not to attend if they feel unwell, have a temperature or cough or should be isolating as a person in their home is unwell.
During the Verification Meeting
Maintain a safe distance.
Wear disposable gloves to avoid direct handling of documents to be verified, where possible ask the applicant to hold them up close enough that you can view the necessary information.
Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based hand gel, if soap and water are not available.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
This process now supersedes the previous Video ID verification process. If you require any further support regarding initiating and / or verifying DBS applications, please contact dbs@ecb.co.uk
