Hereford Cathedral School, in partnership with Herefordshire Cricket, is inviting girls in Years 5-9 countywide to a cricket festival on Saturday 27 April. The event’s aim is to celebrate girls’ cricket in the year of the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
This is an opportunity to receive specialist coaching in a fun and friendly environment. The day will be led by girls’ cricket coach Anna Robertson from Herefordshire Cricket who will be supported by Hereford Cathedral School’s Head of Cricket, Christiaan Ferreira. All staff are fully DBS checked and trained in first aid.
The day will start with some small modified games, focusing on batting, bowling and fielding. The girls will then be split up into teams of equal abilities to play in a world cup tournament. Each team will represent a different country and players will receive a t-shirt to play in and take home.
The festival is FREE to enter and parents do not need to stay. Players of all levels welcome - no experience necessary.
Date: Saturday 27 April
