Herefordshire Cricket Statement

5 years ago   |   By Kirsty Sockett

The England and Wales Cricket Board will be releasing in depth Guidance for Cricket Clubs regarding the use of their outdoor facilities including nets.

Herefordshire Cricket Limited will be receiving these at the same time and would ask that all Clubs take time to thoroughly read and digest all the information provided.

The opening of facilities requires significant effort on behalf of clubs to maintain public safety. Therefore, ECB and HCL is clear that no club should feel obliged to offer their facilities if they feel unable to meet the requirements.

The guidelines offer advice on establishing and communicating rules, operating the facility, accessing the facility plus rules for coaches and participants.

We therefore ask that Clubs consult with either myself or Richard Skyrme about the procedures that need to be in place prior to informing their members that the facility is open and available for bookings.
