Herefordshire National Counties 1st X1 to play Glamorgan CCC this summer

Herefordshire National Counties 1st X1 will play Glamorgan CCC at Eastnor CC on the 30th July.

Speaking on the recent fixture announcements, CEO of Glamorgan CCC Hugh Morris, said: “It’s looking like another action-packed season of domestic cricket, with plenty for our members and supporters to look forward to.  It’s particularly pleasing to start our County Championship campaign with two home matches. 

In addition, we commence the 50 over competition with a trip up the M50 to Eastnor Cricket Club to play Herefordshire and it’s a game we are all looking forward to as we seek to grow the game with our neighbours. Having recently signed Zain- ul-Hassan on to the staff in addition to Jamie McIlroy both of whom graduated to us from the Herefordshire ranks it’s a good opportunity to lock horns and make even greater connections with their performance and pathway programme and at the same time put on a game where we can both engender everything’s that’s right about the growth of the game.’’

Richard Skyrme Pathway Manager for Herefordshire Cricket commented ‘’ We have always had strong links with Cricket in Wales and in particular with Glamorgan and this game will allow us to grow even stronger. We gave Worcestershire a good run for their money last year and we look forward to hopefully repeating the same in 2023 when we take on Glamorgan.’’
