Statement from Herefordshire Cricket Limited

As you are aware the Government’s advice yesterday regarding the Coronavirus outbreak is to stop non-essential contact and unnecessary travel, Herefordshire Cricket has made the decision, this morning, to halt all Cricket related activity. This includes County Age group sessions for boys and girls, Foundation 1 course, HCCC Squad sessions, Courses and workshops up until Easter.
Herefordshire Cricket has the Community and the Clubs at its core and therefore would advise that they take the appropriate action over the coming weeks. The Board are recommending that all Clubs cease any pre-season activity, as no doubt facilities will be closing to the public. The situation is changing on a daily basis with Government COBRA groups meeting and issuing new statements, advice and guidance.
Please listen to the Government advice regarding this pandemic, everyone should regularly wash their hands, use a tissue for coughs and avoid touching your face.
If anyone feels ill, you should stay at home, and if you display any of the Coronavirus symptoms with a persistent cough or a fever, you should visit the NHS 111 Coronavirus website an follow the instructions, which currently state self –isolation for you and your household for a period of 14 days.
Everyone must do what they can to prevent this Virus spreading and keeping disruption to a minimum; we will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis
