Herefordshire Cricket secures 3-year sponsorship deal with Blackfinch Property
Herefordshire Cricket Ltd (HCL) is delighted to announce a 3-year sponsorship deal with Blackfinch Property to support pathway cricket in the County. Blackfinch Property (Blackfinch) will have their branding on shirts and sleeves across the entire age group ranges as they look to support the growth of talent in the County that aspire to represent Herefordshire.
Dave Phillips HCL Chair said “HCL aim to be the leading provider of gender-neutral sport across the whole county, offering opportunities for inclusive participation for any level of ability through our work with Clubs, Schools and Community organisations. We offer high quality coaching, upskilling of teachers and support programmes for talented players and are delighted to be entering in this partnership with Blackfinch.”
Speaking on behalf of HCL, Director Ian Milton added “We are delighted to be working with a local, well-known and respected cricket sponsor to support our young cricketers, male and female as they progress through this great game. Blackfinch is a strong brand that meets the aspirations of where we want to take cricket in the County and ‘build for the future.”
Blackfinch Property is a provider of short-term specialist lending across residential and commercial real estate. Part of the Blackfinch Group, they are committed to helping individuals, businesses and communities to thrive.
David Higson, Head of Property at Blackfinch, said “Cricket is a wonderful sport to help build strong connections within communities. Having active clubs and teams at a local level presents opportunities for people of any age. Whether it’s to directly play the sport, or to take part in the job opportunities in the clubs, it’s all to the benefit of the community. Blackfinch is delighted to be involved with Herefordshire Cricket, and we wish all of their teams, coaches and players a fantastic season ahead!”
The arrangement started in 2022 and funds will be used to recruit coaches, extend the Emerging Player Programme which supports young and gifted players aspiring to play National Counties and, ultimately, First Class cricket, to offset some of the kit costs for players as well as underpinning various outreach campaigns to promote cricket in the County.
