Dynamos Primary Schools Festivals

Every year Herefordshire Cricket organises and runs FREE Dynamos Cricket Festivals for all Primary Schools in the county.  If you would like to know more about the festivals and register your interest for 2024 please contact Pete Gale Schools, Women and Girls Cricket Development Officer.

2023 Report

Our Dynamos festivals have been a huge success this year with over 800 children attending the competitions across three venues. We have seen some excellent cricket played alongside many players making their first moves in our sport! 

Two finals days were held at Pentland Gardens and the Year 3 and 4 final was won by Gorsley Goffs, the Girls final was won by Riverside and the Mixed final by Colwall.

Our young team of coaches have worked hard to ensure that all teachers and staff have downloaded the Countdown Cricket APP so that they can then use this in their own school environments.

The festivals have had fantastic feedback from schools with one PE Coordinator from Thomas Cantilupe Primary School writing to us to say, “Hello, I just wanted to say thank you so much for today! It was so supportive and well organised. The children gained so much confidence and really enjoyed it!”
