Girls Cricket

Women's and Girls' cricket is growing and showing great promise in Herefordshire. This is due to the opportunities which Herefordshire Cricket Ltd has been able to promote through chance to shine in primary and secondary schools which has then created strong links between clubs and county age group teams.

Our County age group teams are developing and we have squads at U11s,U13s and U15s all of whom will take part in winter training beginning in November at Whitecross High School and play a number of friendly fixtures next season.

In recent years we have focused on building the numbers of players in our programmes and we now have a buoyant and thriving girls set up and an excellent coaching programme to develop skills and knowledge of the game.

Our girls' county cricket offers young female cricketers the opportunity to represent their county in competitive fixtures as well as at tournaments.

With age groups ranging from under-11 to our Tier 3 senior squad, players compete in a mix of formats relative to their age and stage. This platform not only provides skill development but also promotes teamwork, leadership, and the growth of female cricket. Serving as a key stepping stone, girls' county cricket opens doors for players to progress to regional and national teams, helping to shape the future stars of the sport.
