After five years with Herefordshire Cricket Ltd, Pete Gale has made the decision to leave his role to pursue other opportunities.

HCL recognises Pete’s significant contribution to the organisation and the progress made during his time with the company. Throughout his tenure, Pete has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing cricket across Herefordshire, with a particular focus on ensuring the game is accessible, inclusive and able to make a positive difference to people and communities.

One of Pete’s key achievements has been his work to re-establish and strengthen the women’s and girls’ cricket programme across the county. Through his work with clubs, schools, coaches and players, he has helped create new opportunities for girls and women to participate, develop and progress within the game, while supporting clubs to establish and grow their own programmes.

Pete has also played an important role in developing and launching successful community cricket programmes with initiatives supporting young people and underserved communities eg Walking Cricket, disability cricket and other inclusive opportunities, Pete has helped HCL broaden its reach and demonstrate the positive impact cricket can have beyond the traditional game.

Alongside his community development work, Pete has made a valuable strategic contribution to HCL’s CAG cricket programmes, supporting the identification, development and progression of talented young cricketers across the county.

Peter has also supported a number of young and developing coaches, helping them gain experience etc. More broadly, Pete has helped strengthen HCL’s relationships with schools, clubs, community organisations, funders and other stakeholders across Herefordshire.

HCL recognises that Pete’s departure is a significant transition given he has helped create a strong foundation for the continued development of cricket across the county.

Herefordshire Cricket Ltd would like to thank Pete sincerely for his commitment, enthusiasm and contribution over the past five years. The organisation wishes him every success and happiness in the next stage of his career. Further information on our programmes and personnel will be communicated in due course.
