HSCA set up and manage all of the schools competitions during the season.
Jack Roberts Cup - Hardball competition - 1st XI team
(winning school will go on to represent Herefordshire as per previous winners of U15 comp)
Chadd Cup & Price Plate - Hardball competition
All years can play in any of the teams at hardball levels, both boys and girls.
Richard Wydenbach Cup and Plate - Year 7/8/9 pupils - 8 a side, pairs cricket, 1 day festival competition
David English Trophy - Year 7 students (non club cricketers) - 6 a side, pairs cricket, 1 day festival style competition
John Burgoyne Cup - Girls only - Pairs festival

Jack Roberts Cup Final (u 15's ) Hereford Cathedral 166/6 John Kyrle 139/6
Hereford Cathedral School (HCS) won by 27 runs
In a competitive match of good quality, HCS batted well to post a formidable total. Gabriel Allbright top scored with a fine 76 n.o.. Good support from Jim Norman 44 and Benji Richie 16. For John Kyrle, Ollie Kelsall took 3-27 and Arthur Hughes took 1-8 off his 4 overs. In reply, Arthur Hughes top scored for John Kyrle with an unbeaten67, with good support from Jenson Arrowsmith 16.Henry Hellmyer took 3 wickets .
Mrs Carole Roberts presented the Jack Roberts Cup to Ben Allbright, the winning captain and a runners up shield to Arthur Hughes.
HCS went on to represent Herefordshire in the Midlands rounds of the T20 competition. They played Shrewsbury, the Shropshire winners.
Chadd Cup Yrs 7/8. HCS 136/4 John Kyrle 48 All out HCS won by 88 runs
George Debenham 77 and Gauranga Raul 38 batted well together so that HCS achieved a good total. For John Kyrle, Charley Lacey took 1-21 and Jacob Hughes 2-17 and took a good catch. In reply John Kyrle batters struggled against good bowling from Jacob Denslow 3-4, Stanley Mcintyre 2-3 and Freddie Bowley 2-1.Charley Lacey top scored with 10 for John Kyrle.
Mrs Kirsty Sockett, daughter of Mr John Chadd, presented the original Chadd Cup to the winning captain. George Debenham received the man of the match award for his batting.
John Burgoyne Cup Year 9/10 girls Hardball. HCS 87/ 9 Lady Hawkins 77/7
HCS batted well as openers Issy Debenham and Maddy Gillet put on 33 for the first wicket. Lady Hawkins took 3 excellent catches and bowled well in their 100 balls to restrict the Cathedral innings. Liz James took 2-15, Goldie Robinson 2-13 and Errin Goodwin 2-17. In reply, Issy Howard batted magnificently for LHS and was finally out for a well made 28. Maddy took 4-12, with one wicket each for Honor and Alice.
Mrs Rosemary Burgoyne gave out players of the match awards to Maddy Gillet and Issy Howard and presented the John Burgoyne Cup to the winning captain from HCS.
Softball : Hundred Rules , 8 a-side and batting in pairs.
Ed Price Plate Year 8 Boys Lady Hawkins 188 Fairfield 84
Fairfield lost 13 wickets which produced a modest total. Lady Hawkins lost only 4 wickets and batted sensibly. This was a good match, with the more experienced team running out worthy winners.
Mr Richard Wydenbach, Hon President HSCA presented the Ed Price Plate to the winning captain from Lady Hawkins. He commented that this was appropriate given Ed’s strong connection to Kington CC.
Haines Watts Cup Yrs 7 and 8 girls Lady Hawkins 146 Whitecross 105
An inexperienced Whitecross team played with great elan, but lost 14 wickets when batting. In reply Lady Hawkins batted well, lost fewer wickets and were worthy winners.
Pete Gale, Chairman Herefordshire Schools Cricket Association, presented the Haines Watts trophy to the winning captain.
Richard Wydenbach Cup Year 9 Boys
In a shortened form of The Hundred, Wigmore batted first and scored 214. For Kingstone, Dan Hammett took a hat trick and Tyler Ward took a stunning one handed catch. In reply, Kingstone batted with great energy, but lost wickets at crucial moments The brilliant catching from the Wigmore fielders won them the match.
Mr Richard Wydenbach, Hon President Herefordshire Schools Cricket Association, then presented his own trophy to the winning captain.
Chadd Cup under 12 Softball
12 schools competed at Pentland Gardens for the softball trophy. There were two nail biting semi-finals.. Lucton beat Earl Mortimer and Lady Hawkins beat Bishops. In the final, Lady Hawkins scored 34 with Archie 14 n.o.. In reply Lucton made 35 winning off the last ball, with Ben 16 n.o.
Mr Richard Wydenbach, Hon President HSCA, presented the u12 Cup to the Lucton captain.
